Opening of the condolence book

On 25th of December, 2024, the Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, with operating flight number J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, was directed to Aktau due to an emergency landing requirement and crashed near the city which resulted in numerous human casualties.

In this regard the 26th of December, 2024 was declared a Day of National Mourning by the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Book of condolences will be opened at the Embassy on the following dates:

• 26th of December, 2024 from 10:00 till 12:00, and from 14:00 till 16:00;
• 27th of December, 2024 from 10:00 till 12:00, and from 14:00 till 16:00;
• Electronic book of condolences will remain accessible till the end of 27th of December, 2024 at mission@bern.mfa.gov.az
